As a matter of fact, Sioux Falls boasts cuisines from various parts of the world, year-round outdoor activities, and a splendor of natural cascades where the mighty Big Sioux River flows over massive slabs of pink quartz that provide a unique, picturesque appeal to this growing metropolis.

The Blue Q: The World As I See It was accepted into the collection of the library in early 2023. As the first major city to accept the book to their collection, we are incredibly honored to have discovered a home at the Caille Branch Library.

The beings responsible for the wellness of our planet were forced to follow the selfish desires of a single, powerful leader, who is once again willing to destroy it all in order to destroy that which was taken from the natural ecosystem.

The Blue Q was purposely written to be enjoyed by readers of all ages. This book is intended for young adults, and we primarily recommend it for readers age 12 and up.

At a distance of more than 500 miles from Chicago, we are incredibly grateful to have found another mid-western city that welcomed The Blue Q with open wings. While the natural beauty of Sioux Falls initially attracted us to pursue the chance to discover this opportunity, it was the kindness of the people that provided us the sense that we were home. Literary (and poetry) events are a part of this city’s rich history, and the library’s summer reading program - Stronger Together - provides a two-word definition of the city’s greatest strength. As one of the major themes of The Blue Q, the unlimited strength available to us when we work together is the fuel by which greatness is possible. Any library that embraces this concept is a friend to us, and as such we will forever cherish Siouxland Libraries for the opportunity to join their community.
