Laurel Public Library
Laurel, Montana
This reading room has one of the most interesting murals painted on its wall. Do you believe that a great book has the possibility to take us to places we have never been?
In early 2023, we discovered a small (yet growing) population of Hispanics/Latinos in Laurel, Montana, and we wanted to know if it would be possible to connect their community with our mission.
Laurel, Montana, is a city that is neither too far away nor too small in size to not be as equally important for the Mission of The Blue Q. Our goal is to reach readers and inspire dreamers wherever they may live, and we believe that there exists few places more visually captivating than where the rocks touch the clouds.

- How does the book’s availability at the Laurel Public Library help the Mission of The Blue Q?
The Mission of The Blue Q was established to help encourage literacy and the love of reading as well as to inspire us all to take positive action for the environment. We were fortunate in that we discovered a friend in this library, and while they may not be located near a city as large as Chicago, they are in one of the most naturally captivating states in the northwest. The natural balance is so important in Montana, and we are honored that the Laurel Public Library would welcome both editions of our novel.
